Sycamore Tree is a community-focused nonprofit initiative dedicated to building meaningful relationships, serving vulnerable populations, and creating lasting opportunities for individuals and families in need. Through personal connections, hands-on service, fundraising events, and partnerships with local organizations, Sycamore Tree works to bring hope, dignity, and practical assistance to underserved communities throughout Latin America and the United States.

Led by Jim and Julie Ethridge of Greeley, Colorado, Sycamore Tree brings together compassionate individuals who share a commitment to helping others. Their approach centers on creating genuine relationships, understanding community needs, and working alongside local leaders who are already making a difference. By connecting volunteers, donors, and community partners, Jim and Julie help turn compassion into meaningful action.

A central focus of Sycamore Tree is supporting women and children affected by poverty, exploitation, and difficult living conditions. In Costa Rica, the organization works alongside a community outreach program serving families in an area challenged by homelessness, substance abuse, violence, and prostitution. Through ongoing visits, financial contributions, meal assistance, and children’s programs, Sycamore Tree seeks to provide consistent support that extends beyond a single visit.

The organization also creates opportunities for individuals and groups to participate in international service trips, experience different cultures, and develop lasting relationships with the communities they serve. Future initiatives include volleyball and golf fundraising events designed to expand participation and generate sustainable financial support for outreach programs.

With connections in Costa Rica, El Salvador, the Dominican Republic, Peru, Argentina, and other Latin American countries, Sycamore Tree envisions a growing network of people working together to improve lives.
